A Pink Camera and a Lifelong Obsession
Amanda was 11 when her mother gave her a pink 35mm camera.
Photography became an enduring part of her life from that moment on. Later, while encouraging her son to pursue his dreams, Amanda realized she had to take her own advice. Her wife Jenn encouraged her to pursue photography professionally.
That decision ultimately became Amanda Marquis Photography.
It Was Never Just About Taking Pretty Pictures
Amanda's work is about helping clients see themselves differently. Through confidence, trust, and vulnerability, she uses guided posing to create images that still feel authentic to the person in front of the camera.
Watching clients walk in apprehensive and leave with a new sense of confidence and self-worth is what keeps her behind the camera.

Amanda is the creator and educator behind The Marquis Method. She now trains and mentors photographers in the posing, lighting, business, client experience, and creative approach she has developed.
This is also the system through which Savannah is training.
